Helpful HVAC Solutions for Your Home

 In HVAC Systems

Are you a homeowner who often overlooks your HVAC system? It’s easy to ignore it until something goes wrong in cold weather, or your energy bills start to increase. If you notice that your home comfort isn’t what it used to be, Bryan’s Fuel can recommend HVAC solutions that will enhance your comfort, save money and energy long-term, and reduce your environmental impact.

The Latest in HVAC Technology

Consider upgrading your home with these innovative HVAC solutions that are highly recommended by our team:

High-Efficiency Furnaces

Today’s high-efficiency furnace models utilize technological advancements to deliver better performance while using less energy, saving homeowners money. These furnaces have an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating of 96% or higher, meaning that at least 96% of the fuel is used for heating, while only 4% is wasted. In comparison, older furnace models often have much lower AFUE ratings, sometimes as low as 60%.

Two-Stage or Variable Capacity Heating and Cooling Equipment

Two-stage or variable capacity equipment helps to reduce temperature fluctuations and distribute heat or cool air throughout your home more evenly. Dual-stage equipment will start in the first stage (65% of its capacity), and will switch to the second stage (100% of its capacity) when it needs to work harder to achieve the temperature called for on the thermostat. Variable capacity equipment can have as many as 65 stages, keeping your home within 0.5 degrees of the desired temperature by adjusting its output in 1% increments. These heating and cooling options operate at a lower and more efficient rate.

Dual Fuel

Dual fuel systems combine the efficiency of a heat pump with the power of a traditional furnace. The system will use the heat pump to heat from the air on the milder winter days, and switch to the propane or natural gas furnace when it becomes too cold.

Smart Thermostats and Home Automation Systems

Smart thermostats and home automation systems add practicality and efficiency to your HVAC system. With Wi-Fi compatibility and smartphone control, products like the Lennox iComfort® S40 thermostat allow you to control your home’s climate from anywhere, ensuring it’s always just right. They indicate when there is a problem that needs immediate attention, and will even remind you when your air filter is due to be changed.

Geothermal Systems

Geothermal heat pumps transfer heat between your home and the ground. In winter, they extract heat from the earth to warm your home. In summer, they reverse the process, removing heat from your home and transferring it back into the ground. Because the temperature underground remains relatively constant throughout the year, geothermal systems are able to operate more efficiently than air-source heat pumps, especially in extreme weather conditions.

Zoning Systems

Zoning systems can be integrated into new construction homes, dividing them into individually controlled spaces for personalized temperature control and energy savings. Zoning systems require variable-capacity equipment to facilitate the adjustments in heating or cooling output.

Satellite Tank Monitors

Satellite tank monitors are a breakthrough development in the home heat industry. These devices, placed on propane tanks, keep a digital record of the fuel level. They eliminate the need for manual level checks, saving time and reducing the risk of a propane run-out.
